NuVuX KZ
Project-based summer studios in Almaty, taught by NuVu-trained instructors
NuVuX KZ brings the design studio model of NuVu—a Cambridge, Massachusetts high school founded by MIT graduates—to Almaty in a two-week summer intensive. Students work alongside U.S. instructors to design, build, and present real projects, exactly as they do at NuVu in Cambridge.
Top U.S. universities want more than grades and test scores — they want evidence of how students think, build, and create. NuVuX KZ gives every participant:
A ready-to-upload portfolio documenting their full design process, from first sketch to finished project
A certificate of completion and a written assessment from NuVu instructors — ready to submit with applications
A letter of recommendation from the NuVu team for the most outstanding participants
Two weeks of hands-on work in the MIT design tradition, taught by instructors from NuVu in Cambridge
Studios:
Battlebotics
Battlebotics propels students into the world of robotic competition.
Future Couture
Step into the future of high-end fashion! In this studio, you’ll explore how technology and design collide to shape what we wear next.
Ninja Warriors
Calling all ninjas! Inspired by the hit show, this studio will have participants study challenging obstacle courses and how athletes navigate them, then design and fabricate their own.
